Ned Dodington, AIA, is a highly experienced real estate developer, architect and design-thinker.

Ned cut his teeth in real estate as a Director of Development for Greystar, ultimately leading development operations for the Minneapolis Office. During a nine-year tenure at Greystar, Ned delivered over 2,000 multifamily rental units across three metro regions, totaling nearly $1bn of deployed capital.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2016, Ned was a Project Architect in Gensler’s Houston Mixed-Use Studio and has worked on large-scale corporate, student housing and interiors projects. His private research-based practice focuses on Bio-inclusive design and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and online. He delivered a TEDx Talk on the topic of Bio-inclusive Architecture and has spoken broadly about the topic and at major North American colleges and Universities.

Ned was a recipient of the Houston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Award in 2015 and was named a Design Futures Council Emerging Leader in 2013. He volunteers as a board member to the Normandale Housing Corporation which provides transitional housing for homeless families, and is actively engaged in the ULI and AIA.

Ned currently resides in the Twin Cities metro area with his wife and two children. When not thinking about how to improve the built environment, Ned can most likely be found either in the lap-pool, on the running trail or supporting his kids at a swim meet, piano recital or dance performance.
